This is a modern take on a 19th-century original: a classical guitar lifted from a coloured plate titled "Musik," published in Copenhagen in 1850, with the words "Fret Not" and "Psalm 37" added as our own lettering.

The original plate depicted an assortment of instruments — a violin with its bow, a flute, a clarinet and a guitar. The plate's artist and publisher are not recorded. For this design the guitar has been cut from the plate and set on its own, so the hand-coloured warmth of the engraving stands alone.

The image shows a classical guitar seen from an angle, its long fretted neck stretching up to the left past the tuning pegs, with six strings running to a simple bridge. The body is rendered in soft golden-brown tones against crisp black outlining, and a pale ribbon or strap trails loosely beneath. Above, in fine, widely spaced capitals, reads "FRET NOT," with a smaller "PSALM 37" beneath — a nod to the opening line of that psalm, "Fret not thyself."

Real art, not AI. A modern take on a real original, reimagined, with our own lettering added. No AI-generated images, ever.

A print that lasts. Water-based pigment inks are pressed into the fabric — no plastic, no cracking, no peeling — so the design stays soft and breathes with the shirt.

Garment-dyed color. Dyed into the finished garment for a soft, vintage-washed tone with subtle depth — richer and more lived-in than a standard printed tee.

Printed on a premium Comfort Colors 1717 garment-dyed tee — heavyweight ringspun cotton with a soft, broken-in feel and a relaxed unisex fit. True to size; size down for a more fitted look.
