Vintage Art Wear is a small Ohio print shop creating wearable versions of classic artwork. We restore public-domain and vintage works, prepare them for fabric, and print each shirt in-house on premium Comfort Colors 1717 heavyweight tees in garment-dyed Ivory. The goal is simple: make beautiful art easier to live with, collect, and wear.

These are masterpieces whose copyrights have long since passed into the public domain — no longer the property of any estate or collector, but part of a shared cultural heritage worth preserving. We spend our days exploring digital archives, museums, and historical libraries to rescue these works — from the sweeping, botanical elegance of Alphonse Mucha's Art Nouveau to the atmospheric, shadow-drenched woodblocks of Takahashi Hiroaki (Shōtei).

By bringing these late 19th- and early 20th-century posters, lithographs, and paintings back into the light, we honor the original artists and give their work a new, everyday life.

Great art deserves a proper ground. We chose the Comfort Colors 1717 in Ivory for its substantial hand, relaxed shape, and softly weathered character.

Made to feel collected, not disposable. The 6.1 oz. 100% ring-spun cotton has the weight and structure of a premium tee, softened through the garment-dye and wash process.
Built for repeat wear. A taped neck and shoulders, durable double-needle stitching, and a relaxed unisex fit make it the kind of shirt that earns a permanent place in your rotation.
A natural home for vintage art. Warm Ivory and our soft-print process let the artwork keep its nuanced color and beautifully aged character without a stiff, plasticky layer.
