Adolphe Willette (1857–1926) was a French painter, illustrator, and lithographer closely associated with the bohemian artistic life of Montmartre. He is best remembered for his contributions to Parisian illustrated journals and cabaret culture, often blending whimsy, eroticism, and the recurring figure of Pierrot into his work.

This color lithographic poster advertises the periodical L'Évènement parisien, with bold hand-lettered text proclaiming "A cause de l'été" (Because of the summer) and noting that the paper appeared twice weekly ("Paraît 2 fois par semaine"). It is a characteristic example of the late 19th-century French advertising poster, an art form that flourished in Paris during this era.

The design centers on a winged female nude, draped only at the lap and crowned with red poppies, seated amid tall summer wheat and scattered flowers. Below her, two small cherubs play near a low stone wall, with a rising sun or moon behind them and a red object on the ground. The brushy, expressive lettering fills the upper portion against patches of blue and yellow. The artist's signature "Willette" appears at the lower right, with printer credits ("Paris. Imp. H. Delâtre") along the bottom margin.

Real art, not AI. An authentic work by a real artist — Adolphe Willette, reproduced from the original — never machine-generated.

A print you can barely feel. Made with safe, long-lasting pigment inks and finished without chemical base coats or white underbase — so the design stays soft and breathable, with a gentler, less-toxic production process.

Fabric in its natural state. Undyed, unbleached, and minimally processed cotton — the natural fibers stay visible in the cloth, giving every shirt a subtly unique, one-of-a-kind look.

Unisex fit — relaxed and true to size.
