Alphonse Mucha (1860–1939) was a Czech artist whose decorative posters helped define the Art Nouveau style at the turn of the 20th century. He rose to fame in Paris through his theatrical posters for the celebrated actress Sarah Bernhardt, characterized by elongated figures, flowing lines, and richly ornamented backgrounds.

This lithographic poster was created for La Samaritaine, a play by Edmond Rostand with music by Gabriel Pierné, staged at the Théâtre de la Renaissance. Produced for Sarah Bernhardt, whose name appears in the arched mosaic-style band above the figure, it is a classic example of Mucha's advertising work and the elegant graphic language of the Belle Époque.

The design shows a standing woman in flowing robes, her long hair cascading beside her, set within a decorative arch. A radiant halo-like disc frames her head, and a smaller draped figure appears below. The theatre name arcs across the top, and the play's title and credits fill the lower panel. The signature 'Mucha' is visible at lower right, printed by F. Champenois, Paris.

Real art, not AI. An authentic work by a real artist — Alphonse Mucha, reproduced from the original — never machine-generated.

A print that lasts. Water-based pigment inks are pressed into the fabric — no plastic, no cracking, no peeling — so the design stays soft and breathes with the shirt.

Garment-dyed color. Dyed into the finished garment for a soft, vintage-washed tone with subtle depth — richer and more lived-in than a standard printed tee.

Printed on a premium Comfort Colors 1717 garment-dyed tee — heavyweight ringspun cotton with a soft, broken-in feel and a relaxed unisex fit. True to size; size down for a more fitted look.
