William James Glackens (1870–1938) was an American painter and a leading member of the Ashcan School, later associated with the group known as The Eight. Beginning his career as a newspaper illustrator, he became celebrated for his richly colored, loosely brushed canvases, and his mature work drew heavily on the vibrant palette and brushwork of French Impressionism, earning him comparisons to Renoir.

This portrait, titled Woman in Red Blouse with Tulips, shows Glackens's characteristically warm, high-keyed color and vigorous, painterly handling. It reflects the intimate figure and interior subjects he favored in his later career.

The painting depicts a seated woman wearing a broad red hat trimmed with dark flowers and a light feather, and long drop earrings. Her blouse is a dazzling patchwork of red, orange, blue, and yellow strokes over a deep red skirt. Beside her, a green glass vase holds tulips in orange, pink, and white, set against a loosely painted background of yellow drapery and cool green and lavender tones.

Real art, not AI. An authentic work by a real artist — William James Glackens, reproduced from the original — never machine-generated.

A print that lasts. Water-based pigment inks are pressed into the fabric — no plastic, no cracking, no peeling — so the design stays soft and breathes with the shirt.

Garment-dyed color. Dyed into the finished garment for a soft, vintage-washed tone with subtle depth — richer and more lived-in than a standard printed tee.

Printed on a premium Comfort Colors 1717 garment-dyed tee — heavyweight ringspun cotton with a soft, broken-in feel and a relaxed unisex fit. True to size; size down for a more fitted look.
