Takahashi Hiroaki (Shōtei) — Snow at Asakusa, Yedo, Musashi Province, Japanese Woodblock Snow Scene Tee

Takahashi Hiroaki (1871–1945), who also worked under the art name Shotei, was a prolific Japanese printmaker associated with the shin-hanga ("new prints") movement that revitalized traditional woodblock techniques in the early twentieth century. He is especially remembered for his atmospheric landscapes and snow scenes.

This print, titled "Snow at Asakusa, Yedo, Musashi Province," depicts a snowy temple precinct rendered in the shin-hanga style.
