Alphonse Mucha — Ilsée, Princesse de Tripoli (1897) Vintage Art Nouveau Tee

Alphonse Mucha (1860–1939) was a Czech artist and one of the defining figures of the Art Nouveau movement, celebrated for his decorative posters, panels, and illustrations built around elegant female figures, sinuous lines, and richly ornamental framing.

This illustration comes from Ilsée, Princesse de Tripoli, a lavishly illustrated 1897 book adapted from a romantic tale, for which Mucha produced numerous lithographed plates. The image is characteristic of his style during this period, when his decorative work for print reached its height.
