Adolphe Willette (1857–1926) was a French painter, illustrator, and lithographer active in the vibrant Montmartre scene of late 19th-century Paris. He was closely associated with the artistic cabaret culture of the era and became known for his lively, satirical, and often theatrical figure work in illustration and poster art.

This color lithograph dates to 1894 and was printed in Paris by the firm of Charles Verneau (114, Rue Oberkampf), whose imprint appears at the lower right; the artist's signature "A.
